is an ensemble practice that explores the relationship between shame, ritual, and procession. The performance is the result of academic research with the students at the University of Texas at Austin centering the questions: how does one revision the history of faith through the eyes of hope and survival? what could it mean to be a born again virgin—an adult body reborn into social spheres without shame? The work recreates and reinvents tropes of religious faith, womanhood, sensuality, virginity and friendship to reinterpret the severed relationship between spirit and flesh echoed in the book of Galatians.
